Based on his extensive experience in the production of pharmaceutical products, Dr. Engin Pak, the founder of the group, decided to start the production of baker’s yeast in 1972. The first Pakmaya factory was established and started its operations in 1973 in Köseköy, İzmit.

We are one of the world’s leading yeast producers, with over 50 years of experience, present in over 130 countries on 5 continents.
Based on our expertise and tradition in yeast production, we have developed an extensive range of products for bakery, pastry, confectionery and home use. We carry out our activities relying on the knowledge and expertise of our teams of food technologists and experts working in our Research and Development centers: CIP, PAKBIOMER and FAGEM.

Our factories
Our production journey began with the first fresh yeast factory, which was established in 1972, in Köseköy, İzmit. Today, we have 6 production facilities: 4 yeast factories and 2 liquid and powder product factories, operating in compliance with international hygiene and quality standards.
