1972
Foundation of Pakmaya
Based on his long experience in the production of pharmaceutical products, the founder of the group, Dr. Engin Pak, decided to start producing baker’s yeast in 1972. The first Pakmaya factory was established in 1973 in Köseköy, İzmit.
1976
Dry Yeast Production
1983
As Gıda Investment
As Gıda was established as part of the Pak group, also marking the start of bread improvers production.
1986
Second Pakmaya factory
The second fresh yeast factory was established in Kemalpașa, İzmir.
1988
Pakbiomer
The Pak Biotech Center (Pakbiomer) was founded for Research & Development projects, aiming to continuously improve the yeast production process, penetrate new markets and better meet the demands and particularities of each market.
1989
Third Pakmaya factory
The third fresh yeast factory began its operations in Cumayeri, Düzce.
FAGEM
FAGEM Research and Development Center for bakery and pastry products was established in Izmit.
1994
Fourth Pakmaya factory
Rompak is founded and construction of the group’s fourth yeast factory begins.
2012
Pakmaya, a Food Brand
Based on our expertise we have gained in baker’s yeast production and the trust we have earned in the industry, we expanded our portfolio, introducing new products for bakery and pastry, as well as for home use. As a result, we have become an umbrella brand, with a diversified range of food products, in addition to baker’s yeast.
2013
Our 40th Anniversary
On our 40th anniversary, we opened the Pakmaya Application Center (PUM) in Esentepe, Istanbul.
2023
Our 50th Anniversary
On our journey as the Pakmaya family, we are delighted to be present in thousands of bakeries and tens of thousands of kitchens, with our wide range of products. We have continued to grow over the past 50 years on the foundation of our core values that define all our operations.
