Circular economy
We make continuous efforts to improve our environmental performance. As part of this commitment, we actively contribute to the circular economy by revalorizing vinasse, a by-product derived from the yeast production process. This way, we turn vinasse into a useful and environmentally friendly resource.
Used as an organic fertilizer for plants and soil or as an additive in animal feed, vinasse is thus reintegrated into the natural cycle as an environmentally beneficial compound, useful in agriculture and animal farming.
What Is Vinasse?
Vinasse is an organic fertilizer, produced from the industrial fermentation of fresh yeast, commonly known as „green yeast”. Sugar beet molasses is used in yeast production. As a result of fermentation, after separating the yeast from its culture medium, two products are obtained: yeast and vinasse.
Rompak vinasse has a very complex and valuable chemical composition, providing essential macroelements (N, P, K) and microelements (Mg, Fe, Cu, Zn) which are essential for the growth and development of plants and animals. Due to its nutrient-rich content, vinasse is ideal for widespread use as an agricultural fertilizer and an additive in animal feed.

Rompak vinasse – an environmentally friendly fertilizer
Rompak vinasse does not contain any polluting substances or chemicals elements. It is certified by CERES GmbH (Certification of Environmental Standards) and approved for use in organic agriculture. With numerous benefits for plants and soil, it can be used as a fertilizer for different crops, with particularly good results for rapeseed, sugar beet, potatoes and corn.
Vinasse – a valuable additive in animal feed
Due to its high nutrient content, vinasse can be used on animal farms, as a feed additive for ruminants, poultry and pigs.
